GARDEN AGRICULTURE/HORTICULTURE
Anamur has one of the micro-climate featured regions of Turkey. Apart from being hot because of this characteristic, it shows the subtropical climate characterstics. Horticulture Program was established in 2012-2013 academic year in order to determine the subtropical fruits and vegetables in the region, to vary the alternative agricultural products and support the producers by plantation. Horticulture Program carries out an educational program in order to provide agricultural technicians to the sector. In the program apart from the basic vocational lessons, general agricultural lessons are given. The aim of the program is to educate the graduates in order to make them analyse and solve the problems in plantation of subtropical products and general agriculture. The graduates can appointed as agriculture technicians by Ministry of Agriculture if they pass the Civil Cervant Exam (KPSS) The graduates can found an agricultural medicine company if they pass the exam executed by Ministry of Agriculture (They should work in social security during 3 years .They can advise (maximum 3 companies) food companieas. They can work in private sector companieas who deal with seeds and seddlings. They can work as representative of private companieas who deal with agricultural medicine. They can plant tropical and subtropical plants on their own farms.

Qualification Awarded
|
The graduates get the degree of Garden Agriculture with the authority provided by law.
|
Admission Requirements
|
Candidates must have a high school diploma or an equivalent school diploma and get enough points in the relevant field of the central examination administered by ÖSYM
|
Higher Grade Transition
|
Candidates, who successfully complete their associate degree education, can continue their education in the relevant undergraduate program if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam.
|
Graduation Requirements
|
It is required to successfully complete all of the courses in the program (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS), to achieve a general academic achievement grade of at least 60 out of 100 and to complete 40 working days of internship.
