About Programme
Department of Gastronomy and Culinary ArtsThe aim of our department is to raise cuisine chiefs (executives) needed not only by accommodation businesses but also by food and beverage businesses. Accordingly, by ensuring our students to have basic management training besides having knowledge and skills of cuisine and also of both Turkish and World cuisines, it is aimed to make them graduate as cuisine chiefs (executives) who have international qualifications and speak two languages. In our Faculty, besides computer lab with 50 computers capacity, we also have an application kitchen which enables application for 28 students simultaneously and an application restaurant for 30 people and a bar. In accordance with close relations developed with tourism sector we do not only ensure our students to do their internship at qualified businesses but also update our curriculum in accordance with tourism sector’s needs. History
Tourism Faculty was established by the decision of The Council of Ministers on 2012. Gastronomy and Culinary art department is the one of the finest department of the faculty.

Qualification Awarded
It is obligatory to get at least 2.00 cumulative points out of 4.00 in order to satisfactorily complete all of the courses (a total of 240 ECTS) found within the program.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must have a high school or equivalent degree and required a score from University Student Selection Exam.
|
Higher Grade Transition
Graduate students can register to master's and doctoral program if they get enough points from Academic Personnel And Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) and prove their English language knowledge.

Graduation Requirements

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
The graduates of the program may find employment in various fields of tourism industry such as production, marketing, research and development, administration etc. Furthermore, they can be employed in public institutions after entering Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS).
